Bindal Marbles Welpack

You can find us at number 8 Sukher, which is right near Madhav and Madhusudhan Marble. It’s a good landmark because everyone knows those big plants. Our place, Bindal Marbles Welpack, is where we handle a lot of the day-to-day stone work and the packing side of things too. It’s a bit of a maze back here with all the different businesses squeezed together, but we like the neighborhood. We spend a lot of time making sure the marble is wrapped and secured properly because stone can be fragile during the long truck rides across the country. There is always a lot of movement—cranes humming, workers shouting over the noise, and the sound of water being used to clean the slabs. It’s not a quiet job, but it’s steady. We have a small crew and we’ve all been working together for a long time. We know each other’s rhythms. When a customer comes in, they usually just walk through the yard with one of us. We don't have brochures or anything like that. We just show the real blocks. Sometimes the mud gets thick when it rains, and other times it’s so dry you can’t breathe without a scarf, but that’s life in Sukher. Being near the larger Madhav facility means there’s always people around, which keeps things interesting. We just focus on getting our orders out and keeping the yard running smoothly every day without any extra fuss.
