You can find Bharat Electronics Ltd at number 20 on Kalka Mata Road, over in Ganesh Nagar in Udaipur. It’s a decent spot, and being in Rajasthan, we definitely deal with some heat throughout the year. Our building isn't new, but it holds up well. We do our electronics work here without making a big deal out of it. Most of the people who come by are locals from the 313 001 area. We don't have a receptionist in a suit or a lobby with leather sofas. It’s more of a walk-in-and-see-us-working kind of place. The shelves are full of parts and half-finished projects. Sometimes we get caught up talking about local news while we should be filing paperwork. It’s just the way it is. We like being on Kalka Mata Road because it’s easy for folks to find. We aren’t interested in being some high-profile corporation with thousands of rules. We just have our own way of organizing things that works for us. If the door is open, it means we’re inside probably fixing something or checking inventory. It gets a bit dusty with the desert air, but we keep the fans going and stay busy. It’s a simple life and a simple business. We just take it one day at a time and try to be helpful to the people who walk through that door in Ganesh Nagar. We don't need things to be more complicated than they are.
