The Sukher Industrial Area is always buzzing, and out here on Bedla Road, things are no different. At Ganpati Tiles Pvt. Ltd., we spend most of our time moving boxes. Tiles are heavy and they break if you are not careful, so we have to move slow. The warehouse is big but it always feels full. People come in from the road looking for something specific for their kitchens or floors. We show them what we have on the racks. It is mostly just us walking around with clips and pens, checking the stock. Bedla Road gets quite dusty with all the construction vehicles moving around. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit near the big door to get some light. We have been here in Sukher for a while now. You get to know the other people working in the nearby sheds. We share a tea or just nod when we see each other. It is not a quiet job. There is always the sound of a forklift or a truck idling outside. Ganpati Tiles Pvt. Ltd. is just a place where we work hard and go home tired. We do not have any big speeches to give. We just make sure the tiles are stacked right and the orders are ready. Every day is pretty much the same routine of lifting, checking, and moving. It keeps us on our feet throughout the day and into the evening.
