Bajaj Marbles

We’ve been here at Sukher Nh-8 for quite a while now. If you know Hawa Magri, you know the area is basically all stone and dust. That is just how it is around here. Bajaj Marbles isn't some fancy showroom with air conditioning and glass doors. It’s mostly just us out here in the yard dealing with slabs and blocks all day long. Sometimes the sun gets really heavy on the highway, but the work doesn't stop. People stop by when they are building a house or just need a few pieces for a small project. We spend most of our time moving things around with the cranes and making sure the stock is okay. It’s a lot of physical work, honestly. My clothes are usually covered in white dust by noon. We don't really do big advertisements or anything like that. Most folks find us because they were driving down the Nh-8 and saw the sign. We just try to keep things straightforward. If someone asks for a specific type of marble, we show them what we have sitting in the lot. There isn't much more to it than that. Sometimes the supply is good, sometimes it takes longer to get certain blocks in. We just take it day by day. It’s a simple business, really. We’ve seen the road change over the years, more trucks and more noise, but we are still here doing the same thing. Just working with stone and trying to get through the daily list of tasks.
