We are set up at number 21 in Vaishali Nagar, which is in the Badgaon area. The Balkeshwar Temple is the main landmark nearby, so that makes us easy to find. Working with stone is what we do every day. It’s a lot of physical labor and keeping track of inventory. The yard is usually quite busy with activity. We have different types of stone coming in from various quarries. Some days are slower than others, but mostly there is a truck being loaded or unloaded. The noise of the machinery is constant. We don’t spend much time on fancy decorations for the office. It’s more about having a functional space where we can talk to customers and handle the bills. The area around the temple can get a bit congested during festivals, but otherwise, it’s a good place to work. Our team has been doing this for years. We know the material well. Sometimes people ask for specific cuts or finishes, and we see if we can do it. It’s a messy job, honestly. There is always water and stone dust on the ground. We wear sturdy boots and just get on with it. It’s a local operation, and we like it that way. No complicated layers, just us and the stones. We stay open until the sun goes down usually.
