Attari Marble

Our place, Attari Marble, is tucked away in Barkat Colony, over in Savina Kheda. We are at Plot No. 8, right near the Badi Masjid. If you know that area, you know it gets a bit crowded with traffic sometimes, but that’s just how life is here. We’ve been working with marble for a long time. It’s what we know best. The yard isn't huge, but we pack it with as much stone as we can fit. Sometimes it’s a bit of a mess with all the offcuts and white dust, but we try to keep it organized enough so people can walk through and look at everything. We get all sorts of people stopping by. Some are building their very first home and they are really picky about the color or the grain. Others just want something sturdy that lasts a lifetime. We don't do much talking or sales pitches, we just show the slabs and let the stone speak for itself. It’s heavy work, especially during the summer heat. We use a lot of water to keep the dust down and to show the polish on a piece when someone is interested. The masjid is a good landmark for people trying to find us for the first time. Living and working in Savina Kheda means we see the same faces every day. It’s a real community. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop, just a local spot.
