This is our office for Assistant Engg, located at house number 236 in the U.I.T. Colony. We’re in the Pratap Nagar area of Udaipur, which is a pretty standard residential neighborhood. The office itself is just a regular building where we handle the technical side of local engineering projects. I spend a lot of time looking at blueprints and site plans that are often covered in a bit of Udaipur dust. It’s not a fancy setup. We have some old wooden desks and a lot of rolled-up drawings leaning against the walls. A typical day involves checking on construction progress around the city or sitting through meetings about pipe layouts and road levels. The Rajasthan heat can be brutal, so we try to get the outdoor inspections done early before it gets too hot to think. Sometimes things at the site don’t go according to the drawings, and we have to spend hours figuring out a workaround that actually works. It can be frustrating when materials are delayed or the weather ruins a day’s work. We aren't trying to be a big firm. We just handle the practical engineering tasks that keep the local infrastructure moving. It’s a lot of math and a lot of patience. The colony is usually quiet, except for the occasional street vendor passing by. We just stay busy with our charts and our site visits, trying to get things built right.
