G M M Engineering Works

Down in Pratap Nagar Bedwas, you’ll find G M M Engineering Works. It’s a workshop where we do a lot of heavy lifting and manual labor. The air usually smells like metal and oil, which is something you get used to after a while. We have several machines that have been with us for a long time, and they still run okay if you know how to handle them. Most of our work is about fixing things or making parts that people can’t find anywhere else. It’s loud in here when everything is running, so we have to shout a bit to hear each other. We don’t have a proper office, just a small corner with a table and a stool where we keep the files. There’s a lot of scrap metal piled up in the yard outside. We try to keep it organized, but it’s a constant battle. The guys working here have been part of the team for years, so we’re like a small family. We share our meals together in the shade when it’s hot outside. Bedwas is a place where people work hard, and we fit right in. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop around, just one that gets the job done without any fuss. It’s greasy, loud, and tiring, but it’s what we know how to do best. We just keep our heads down and finish the tasks.
