Chandra Marbles

Chandra Marbles is at No. 222 in Ashok Nagar. We’ve got a decent amount of space here for the stone. It’s a bit of a mix of a residential area and small businesses. We start our day early before the sun gets too high. We move the marble pieces around so we can see what we have in stock. The slabs are heavy and we have to be careful not to chip the corners. We don't have any polished brochures to give out. If you want to see the marble you have to come to Ashok Nagar and walk through the yard. We have different kinds of stone but it depends on what we could get that week. Sometimes the stock is low and we have to wait for the next shipment. We talk to people who are building houses nearby. They usually want to see the patterns in the stone before they buy. We just show them what’s available. It’s not complicated. We wear old clothes because the marble dust gets on everything. My shoes are usually white from the stone powder. We don't have a big office or anything like that. Just a desk and some chairs. We spend most of the day on our feet. It’s just how we do things at Chandra Marbles. We keep it simple and just try to get the work done.
