Basant Marble & Granite

We’ve been running Basant Marble & Granite from 4-d Mahaveer Colony in Ashok Nagar for some time now. It’s a residential-commercial mix area, so it’s a bit quieter than those big industrial zones. We keep our marble and granite slabs here for people to see. It’s a family-run kind of thing, mostly just us managing the day-to-day tasks. We spend a lot of time talking to homeowners who are looking to renovate their kitchens or floors. We don't have a polished showroom with bright lights. It’s just a yard with stone stacked up. We’ll walk around with you and move the slabs so you can see the grain and the color properly in the natural light. Working with granite is heavy work, and we do a lot of it ourselves. We aren't salesy people; we just tell you what the stone is and where it came from. Sometimes we have to cut pieces to size, which creates a bit of a mess with the water and dust, but we clean it up. Ashok Nagar is a good place to be, and our neighbors are used to the sound of stone being moved around. We just take things one day at a time, filling orders and making sure the trucks are loaded correctly. It’s a practical business, and we like the direct way we get to work with people in the colony. It keeps us busy and connected.
