Arvind Stones

Over on Sukher Main Road, right across from the Eklingnath Petrol Pump, is where we have Arvind Stones. It’s a busy stretch of the NH-8, so there’s always something going on outside our gate. We have a variety of stones sitting in our yard. We don't spend money on fancy offices or big signs. Most of our time is spent out in the yard, checking the inventory and helping people who stop by. Since we are right on the main road, we get a lot of people just dropping in to see what we have. We show them around and let them look at the slabs. It’s a very laid-back way of doing things. We don't try to push anyone into buying anything. The stone is heavy and moving it takes a lot of effort, so we try to be efficient with the crane. Sometimes the blocks are huge and we have to figure out the best way to slice them or store them. It’s a lot of manual labor, but we don't mind it. The dust is just part of the everyday life here. We usually have a bit of tea in the afternoon when things slow down. It’s just a normal business run by normal people. We’ve been here at this location for a while and it suits us just fine. We just try to get the loads out as they come and keep the yard moving.
