We are located at Plot No. 3 in the Eklavya Colony area, which is right near the Sajjan Garh Road here in Udaipur. It is a busy part of the city, especially with all the tourists heading up toward the fort and the hills. We don't see many tourists in our yard, though. Mostly it is just trucks and people looking for stone for their building projects. The yard stays pretty crowded with different types of stone we bring in. It is a dusty business, and by the end of the day, everything from the desk to the tea cups has a thin layer of grit on it. We’ve been at this spot for a while now, and we’ve seen the colony grow up around us. The noise from the Sajjan Garh Road never really stops, but you get used to it after a few weeks. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It is just a few of us making sure the stone is sorted and the deliveries go out on time. Sometimes the weather in Udaipur gets really hot, and we have to take long breaks in the middle of the day. We just sit under the tin roof and talk about whatever is going on in the neighborhood. It is a simple way to make a living, and we like being part of the local community here in this corner of the city, even with the traffic and the hard work we do.
