Anmol Marbles

Anmol Marbles is another one of those yards located near the Vandana Weigh Bridge on Nh 8. It seems like everyone knows that landmark. Our place is full of marble, stacked up in rows that sometimes feel like they go on forever. We spend our mornings checking the inventory and our afternoons loading up orders. The highway is always loud, and the dust from the road blows into the yard constantly. We don't have a big marketing budget or a team of people in suits. It’s just us in our work clothes, moving stone. We've had some of these slabs for a few days and some for much longer. Every piece of marble is heavy, so we have to be careful how we move things around. It’s a lot of manual work and operating the loaders. We don't try to impress anyone with big talk. If someone wants to see marble, we walk them through the rows and let the stone speak for itself. The weather out here can be harsh, especially in the summer, but we just keep the water bottles close and keep working. It is a very basic way of doing things, but it works for us. We are just a local business trying to get the day's work finished before the sun goes down over the highway.
