Anjeeta Marbles

Anjeeta Marbles is located right on the NH-8 in Sukher. If you’ve ever driven through this area, you know it’s nothing but stone for miles. Our yard is filled with blocks and slabs of all different sizes. It’s not a very quiet place to work because of the constant hum of the cutting saws and the trucks rumbling by on the highway. We spend most of our time walking around the yard, showing people what we have in stock. Sometimes the stone has natural marks or veins that some people like and others don’t, so we have to spend time looking at each piece closely. It’s a lot of walking on uneven ground. We have a small office where we do the billing, but it’s mostly just a place to escape the sun for a few minutes. We don’t have a website or any fancy brochures. People usually just stop their cars when they see something they like in the front of the yard. Our workers have been with us a long time, and they know how to handle the heavy slabs without breaking them. It’s a risky job sometimes because of the weight of the marble. We just take it one day at a time, moving the stone and making sure the orders are ready when the customers come back with their trucks. It's basic, honest work in the middle of a very busy and dusty stone hub.
