Anjali Marble

Our shop, Anjali Marble, is tucked away at 11, Bedla Road in the Tirupati N X area of Mahaveer Colony. It’s more of a residential-meets-commercial neighborhood compared to the big industrial stretches of the highway. Because of where we are, we get a lot of locals who are just fixing up their own homes. We’ve been in this spot for a while, and the colony has grown up around us. It’s a bit more relaxed here than out on the Nh-8, but there is still plenty to do. We don't have a massive yard, so we have to be careful about what we keep in stock. We try to have a good variety of marble pieces that people actually want for their kitchens or floors. It’s just a few of us working here, so you’ll usually find us moving slabs or talking to a neighbor about their renovation. We don't have any big sales pitches or fancy brochures. If you like a piece of stone, we tell you the price and how much we have. That is about as complicated as it gets. Sometimes the trucks have a hard time getting into the colony streets, which can be a bit of a headache, but we always figure it out. We’ve lived and worked in this area for a long time, so we know how things go. It’s a quiet, honest way to make a living, and we’re happy with that. No big fuss here.
