About Ambica Marble – Building & Construction Material in Udaipur
You can find Ambica Marble right along N.H. 8 in the Morchana area of Rajnagar. Being on the highway means there are always big trucks rumbling past, which makes the whole place shake sometimes. It’s very dusty here because of all the stone being cut and moved around. We have big slabs of marble leaning against the walls and stacked up outside in the yard. It’s heavy work. We spend most of our time wearing boots and old clothes because they just get ruined by the stone dust and water. Rajnagar is famous for its marble, so we are surrounded by other yards just like ours. We aren't a big fancy showroom with bright lights. It’s more of a practical yard where you see the raw material as it is. Some days it’s really hot out in the sun, and we have to take breaks in the shade of the office. We use cranes to move the bigger pieces around, and you have to be careful where you stand. It’s not a quiet job. There is always the sound of saws or engines running. We’ve been here for a long time and seen the highway change a lot since we first opened. But the stone is still the same. We just keep cutting it and loading it up for whoever needs it for their floors or counters. It’s what we do. We don't waste time on anything that doesn't get the stone ready for the trucks.
