Amar Marble

You can find us right on N.H-8 in Amberi. Being on the highway is pretty convenient for moving stone, but it is definitely a bit dusty around here. We spend a lot of our time outside or in the shed where the slabs are kept. Amar Marble is not a showroom with air conditioning and fancy lights. It is a place where we cut stone and load up the trucks. We have all sorts of marble here, coming from different quarries. Some days the sun is really hot and the work is quite hard. Moving these heavy blocks takes a lot of effort and the right machines. We have been doing this for a long time. My family has been around the stone business for years, so it is just what we know how to do. People driving by on the highway often stop to see what we have in the yard. We do not have a lot of polished sales talk for them. We just show them what is in stock and tell them the price. Most of the people we work with are local builders or folks fixing up their own houses nearby. It is honest work. Sometimes the trucks are late or a slab breaks, and we just have to deal with it and move on. We drink a lot of water and try to keep things moving. It is a simple setup here. (249 words)
