Alankar Engineers

If you’re driving along Nh-8 near Kailashpuri, you’ll likely pass us at Fatehpura Chouraha in Munwas. That’s where Alankar Engineers is located. We’ve been at this spot for several years now, mainly focusing on repair work and some small-scale fabrication projects. The workshop isn’t very big, and it can get quite loud with the machines running, but it’s where we do all our daily work. There are usually three or four of us around, wearing our greasy overalls and trying to fix whatever machinery someone has brought in. Being right off the highway means we get a lot of people stopping by with urgent problems. We don’t have a fancy front office or a receptionist; you usually just walk in and find one of us near the back. Our tools are a bit old, but they still work fine for the jobs we take on. Sometimes we have to wait a few days for parts to arrive from the city, which can be frustrating, but that’s just how it goes in this line of work. We try to be honest about how long a job will take. It’s dusty and hot in the summer, especially with the metal roof, but we’re used to it. We just take things one project at a time and try to make sure everything we fix actually stays fixed once it leaves the shop. It's tough work but it pays the bills for us.
