Aakash Stone. We are right on N.H.8 in the Sukher area. If you’ve ever driven through this part of Udaipur, you know how many stone yards are around here. It’s basically all we do in this neighborhood. We have our yard set up right by the highway, which makes it easy for the big trucks to pull in and out without getting stuck in small city streets. It’s a lot of manual labor, moving pieces of rock from one pile to another and making sure everything is counted right. We don't have a fancy reception desk or a bunch of people in ties. Mostly, you’ll find us in our work clothes, probably covered in a bit of stone dust. It’s a loud place because of the traffic on N.H.8 and the machines running, but we don’t mind the noise much anymore. We just focus on the stone we have in stock. Sometimes people stop by just because they saw the sign from the road while driving toward the city. We show them what we have on the ground and that’s about it. No big sales speeches or anything. The stone speaks for itself, really. We’ve been at this location for some years now and it works for us. Just a regular business doing regular work. We just try to get the loads out on time and keep the yard from becoming too much of a mess. It’s a simple life out here on the highway.
