We’ve been sitting here at our office in R.M.V Compound for quite a while now. It’s right on Gulabbagh Road in Udaipur, which usually gets pretty busy during the day. Most people know the spot because we’re near the old Sbbj Bank at Surajpole. It’s a handy place to be if you’re moving around the city. When we started Taldar Travels & Tourism, we didn't really have a big plan. We just wanted to help folks get from one place to another without too much trouble. Sometimes the phones ring all at once and other times it’s quiet enough to hear the traffic outside. We mostly handle travel bookings and tickets for people living nearby or those just passing through the area. If you walk past the bank and head towards the compound, you’ll see our door at number 15. We don't have a fancy waiting room or anything, just a few chairs and some desks where we keep our papers. It gets dusty sometimes with the windows open, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. Most of our regulars are neighbors who have been coming to us for years. They know where we are and that we’ll be here during our usual hours. We try to keep things straightforward. There’s no point in making travel more complicated than it already is. If you need to find us, just look for the sign near Surajpole. We’re usually around, drinking chai and figuring out the day's schedules and routes.
