Shivani Earth Movers

Our place is at 536 Diamond Colony, which is right off the Madurai Bye Pass Road. It’s a good location for us because the bypass lets us move our heavy machinery around without having to go through the middle of the city too much. Shivani Earth Movers is mostly about the big yellow machines you see at construction sites. We spend our time maintaining the equipment and making sure everything is ready for digging or leveling land. The office at Diamond Colony is pretty simple. It’s where we keep our records and talk to customers about what they need for their plots. We often have dirt on our boots and grease on our hands because we’re usually out checking on the machines. It’s not a desk job for most of us. Sometimes we’re working out in the sun all day, and other times we’re here in the colony sorting out the next day's plans. We’ve seen a lot of building going on around the Madurai Bye Pass Road lately, so there’s always someone needing earth moved. We don't use any complicated systems. We just write down the jobs and make sure the operators show up on time. It’s a steady way to make a living, and being in Diamond Colony for so long means we know most of the people around here. We just keep at it and handle whatever excavation comes our way each day.
