Shankarraj Traders

We’ve been here at 45, West Great Cotton Road for a while now. It’s a busy part of Shanmugapuram and there is always something going on outside our door. Most mornings start early, usually before the sun gets too high, because that’s when the trucks arrive and we have to get everything organized. Shankarraj Traders isn’t a big fancy place with glass walls or anything like that. It’s just a practical spot where we get our work done. We spend most of our time checking stocks and making sure things are where they should be. Sometimes the fans don't work right and it gets a bit warm, but we just keep at it. The road outside can get pretty crowded with people and bikes, so unloading can be a bit of a challenge some days. We don't really do much advertising or stuff like that. Most people around here just know us because we've been at this address for years. If you walk down West Great Cotton Road, you'll see our sign. It's nothing special to look at, just a place of business. We keep our records in old ledgers and on the computer when it decides to behave. It’s just us doing what we know how to do. There isn't much more to it than that. We open up, do the work, and head home when the shutters go down. That is how the days go here.
