People usually find us on Palayamkottai Road because of the big stack of pipes outside. It’s No.36/D, right where the traffic starts slowing down in the afternoon. Inside, it's a bit of a squeeze. We have drawers filled with all kinds of washers and bolts that people need for quick house repairs. Sometimes the dust from the road comes in, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the counters. It’s mostly just us here, making sure we have what folks ask for, like hammer sets or specific plumbing bits that are hard to find elsewhere. The shop gets quite bright when the sun hits the front window. We don't have fancy displays or anything like that. Things are just stacked where they fit best. Usually, neighbors drop by just to ask if we’ve seen a certain type of tap or if we have enough cement bags in the back. Life here is mostly about keeping track of the inventory and helping someone find a tool they lost. We open up early and stay until the street lights come on. It’s a busy spot, and there is always something to move or organize. You get used to the noise of the bikes going past. It’s just a normal hardware place where we try to keep things useful for everyone living around this part of the road.
