Kavin Cards

Being over here by the New Bus Stand means there is never really a quiet moment during the day. Kavin Cards is tucked into 1A/1 in Polpettai West, right in the Muthammal Colony area. You can hear the buses pulling in and out from the station all day long. It is a lot of noise but you honestly get used to it after working here for a week or two. The shop has stacks of different card stocks and paper piled up near the back wall. We spend a lot of time just organizing things and making sure we have enough envelopes for whatever comes in. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, so we usually keep the front door propped open with a brick to catch any breeze coming through the colony. Neighbors often stop by just to say hello or ask for directions because we are so close to the bus stand. We are not doing anything revolutionary here, just getting cards ready for people who need them for local events or family things. The ink sometimes gets on our hands and stays there for days no matter how much we scrub it off. That is just part of the job. We have a small desk where we sit and talk to people about what they want. It is a simple setup and we have known most of the other shop owners around here for years.
