Kamak Matriculation Higher Secondary School

If you head down Ettayapuram Road in Thalamuthu Nagar, you will find Kamak Matriculation Higher Secondary School right near the Abc Womens College. It is a busy part of town, especially when the college students and our students are all arriving at the same time in the morning. The school has a mix of ages, from the little ones just starting out to the older ones who are finishing up their higher secondary years. Our building is a solid structure with plenty of windows, though we keep the curtains drawn when the sun is hitting too hard on that side of the road. Inside, it’s mostly the sound of fans whirring and teachers talking over the hum of the traffic outside. We have a courtyard where the students gather for the morning assembly, and it gets pretty crowded when everyone is out there. The furniture is mostly wood and metal, nothing too modern, but it stays in one piece. Being near the college means there are always people moving around the area, so it never feels isolated here. We have a small staff room where the teachers drink their tea and grade papers during their free periods. It’s a straightforward school life without any extra frills. Some days the water pressure is low, or the bell rings a few minutes late, but we just get on with things. It is just a regular place for regular kids in Thalamuthu Nagar.
