Fran Flour Mill

We are a small mill located at 1/36 in Perumalpuram. It’s right in the Kottaram area. Most people around here just call us the flour mill. It’s not a large factory, just a local spot where we grind grain into flour. The space is a bit tight with all the bags stacked up, but we make it work. We spend our time checking the stones and making sure the texture is right. It’s a lot of manual labor, carrying sacks and loading them up for people. You can usually find us covered in a bit of white dust by the end of the shift. That’s just how it goes when you work with flour. We know our neighbors and the people who come in to get their supplies. It’s a friendly enough place, though we are usually too busy to talk for long. The machines make a steady rhythm that we’ve all gotten used to. We don't use any fancy technology here, just the tried and true methods that have worked for a long time. It’s a simple business. We get the grain, we grind it, and we sell it. There’s no need to make it more complicated than that. We open up early and close when the work is done. It’s a practical life, and we like being part of the community here in Kottaram. There’s always work to be done and bags to be filled.
