Our office is on 2nd Main in the 2nd Block, specifically on Drthammaiah House Road in Kuvempu Nagar. Tumkur is a growing place, and we’ve been here at this spot for Ing Vysya Life Insurance Co Ltd for a good while. It’s a straightforward setup. We have desks, some chairs, and a lot of folders. Working in life insurance isn't exactly a thrill a minute, but it keeps us busy. We see a lot of local families coming in to figure out their policies. We try to keep the language simple because insurance documents are already hard enough to read. No one here is trying to be a big-shot corporate type. We’re just regular people from the area. Some days the road outside is being dug up and it’s noisy, but we just close the windows and keep typing. We have a small staff and we all do a bit of everything, from answering the phone to filing the paperwork. It’s a long day sometimes, especially when there’s a lot of new claims to process. We don't have any fancy coffee machines, just a kettle in the back. We like the neighborhood and the people who live here. It’s a decent place to work. We just take the work as it comes and try to get the details right. That’s about all there is to it. No one is in a huge hurry, but we make sure the jobs get finished before we lock up for the night.
