Pragathi Engineering

You can find us at Plot No. B-8 in the Industrial Estate over in Hirehally. Pragathi Engineering has been operating out of this shed for quite some time. The industrial estate is a mix of all kinds of small shops, and we are right in the thick of it. Our space is filled with the smell of cutting fluid and the sound of hammers. We don't have any fancy signs or a reception area. If you come by, you’ll likely find us in our overalls working on a component or fixing a machine that broke down. The Hirehally area is a bit out of the way, which keeps things quiet except for the noise we make ourselves. We have a small yard in the back where we keep scrap metal and some old pallets. The roof leaks a little bit when the rains are heavy, so we have to move the equipment around sometimes. It’s just how things are in these older industrial plots. We drink our tea from the local stall that comes around on a cycle twice a day. The work is steady and repetitive, but we take a certain pride in getting the dimensions right. Most of the guys here have been working together for years, so we don't need to say much to get the job done. It’s a basic engineering workshop where the focus is strictly on the metal in front of us and getting it shaped correctly.
