Rmj Rice Mill

Our mill, Rmj Rice Mill, is situated at No:2/168 in Indira Nagar, which is part of Oomatchikulam. It is a noisy place when the machines are running, but that is how a rice mill is supposed to be. We have been here for quite a while, and the building shows its age a bit. There is always a bit of dust in the air from the grain, so we spend a lot of time sweeping the floors. People from around Indira Nagar bring their stuff to us, and we get to work. It is not a high-tech operation with computers everywhere. We rely on the old machines and the hands of the people working here. Oomatchikulam is a good area for this kind of work. The yard out front is usually full of sacks waiting to be processed. We don't have a formal reception area or anything like that. If you come by, you just walk in and find someone near the machines. It’s a bit hot inside during the summer months, but we just keep the doors open to let the breeze in. We handle various types of rice and try to keep up with the demand. The address No:2/168 is easy to find if you know the landmark near the main road. We are just local people running a mill for the community. It’s hard work and the days are long, but we like the routine of it.
