Our business is based in Enamkariyandal Village, right near Tiruvannamalai. We operate out of Vijaya Kumar’s place at number 125. It’s a quiet village setting, very different from the big cities. We sell food, and being out here means we are close to where a lot of things are grown. The air is a bit cleaner here, but the roads can be rough, especially after the monsoon. We don’t have a big glass office. It’s more of a traditional house setup where we’ve converted some rooms for the business. You can see the mountain in the distance on clear days. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers and buyers. Since we are in a village, everyone knows what we are doing. We don’t really use fancy software, just notebooks and some basic spreadsheets. It’s a slow pace of life but the work is constant. We have to make sure the food doesn't sit around too long in the heat. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow, so we have to wait to send emails. But we manage just fine. It’s a family-style environment here. We sit together for lunch and talk about the crops and the local news before getting back to work. There’s always someone coming by for a chat or to check on things. We are just simple people doing our work the best we can every day. It is peaceful here even when things get busy.
