Shakeera Bed Centre

You can find Shakeera Bed Centre at 104, Mth Road in Villivakkam. We’ve been here on this main road for quite a while now. It’s a very busy street with trucks and buses zooming past all the time. Our shop is filled with mattresses, pillows, and different types of bedding materials. We do a lot of the work ourselves, like stuffing the pillows or stitching the covers. It’s a lot of physical labor, and by the end of the day, our backs usually ache. The shop isn't air-conditioned, so we keep the doors wide open. This means a lot of dust comes in, but it’s the only way to stay cool while we work. We have all kinds of customers, from people moving into their first apartment to families needing to replace old worn-out beds. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights. Everything is just laid out so people can touch the fabric and see if they like the feel of it. We talk to everyone who comes in, mostly about the weather or how the local traffic is getting worse. It’s a simple business. We sell things that help people sleep better, and that’s about it. If you need a new mattress, you just come in, pick what you want, and we’ll figure out a way to get it to your house. We’re just regular people doing our jobs every day on Mth Road.
