Goodwill Icecream & Xerox

Goodwill Icecream & Xerox is a bit of a local landmark in Kolathur. We are at No 4 Somanathapuram, right across from Maharasi Mahal on Redhills Road. It is a funny combination, selling cold treats and making photocopies, but it has worked for us for a long time. The shop is always a bit noisy because of the Xerox machines running. On the other side, we have the freezers for the ice cream. It is a small place, so it can get crowded when a whole class of students comes in to get their notes copied. We do not have any fancy furniture or expensive decorations. It is just a practical shop for the people living in Kolathur. Redhills Road is always full of traffic, and being opposite the marriage hall means we see a lot of people in fancy clothes too. We do not have any big mission or vision. We just want to make sure the copies are clear and the ice cream is cold. Some days the machines jam and it is a real headache, but we just fix them and keep going. We are just regular people running a small business. It is hard work and the hours are long, but we enjoy being part of the community. People know they can come to us for a quick copy or a cone of ice cream.
