Ayya Hardwares

You can find Ayya Hardwares on Avadi Road over in the Alamathi area of Chennai. Our shop is at number 85, right near Poochi Athipedu. It is a straightforward hardware store where we keep all the basic stuff people need for repairs and building. The shelves are usually full, and sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what you are looking for because there is a lot of stock. We don't have a website with fancy buttons; we just talk to people when they come through the door. The heat in Chennai can be tough, so we keep a fan going and just get on with the work. Most of our customers are locals from around Alamathi who are fixing something at home or working on a small site nearby. We know a lot of them by their first names. It is not a corporate chain where everything is in a plastic box. We sell things by the piece and try to be fair about it. The road outside gets busy with buses, but it's a good spot for us. We've been at this address for a long time. People know if they need a tool or some nails, they can just stop by. We aren't trying to be something we're not, just keeping the shop open for whoever needs things. It's honest work and we enjoy being part of the community here on Avadi Road.
