We run Vergara Hardwares right here in the Vergara area of Malappuram. It’s a local spot that folks around here have come to depend on for their building and repair needs. The shop is filled with all sorts of things, from basic nails and hammers to pipes and different types of paint. It can get a bit dusty with all the bags of cement and sand sitting around, but that is just part of the hardware business. We don't have a fancy website or any marketing team working for us. It’s just us opening the doors early and staying until the evening. People from the nearby houses come in when something breaks or when they are starting a small construction project in their yard. We try to keep a bit of everything in stock because you never know what someone might need on a random Tuesday morning. The roads in Malappuram can be a bit narrow, but the delivery trucks manage to get through to bring us new supplies every week. We know most of our customers by their first names. It’s a very personal way of doing business compared to the big chains. We aren't trying to be the biggest store in the district or anything like that. We just want to be reliable for the people living in Vergara. If we don't have a specific tool, we usually know where to find it. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us busy.
