Sri Vaare Pipes

Sri Vaare Pipes is located at Door No- 3/274 on the Kovai Main Road in Permanallur. It’s a busy stretch of road, so there is always a lot of noise from the passing traffic. We have stacks and stacks of pipes piled up in the yard. It takes a lot of work to keep them all sorted by size and type. When the sun is out, the black pipes get so hot you can barely touch them without gloves. We spend most of our time outside or in the open shed loading up trailers for customers. Most of the people we see are farmers from around the area or guys working on building sites nearby. We don't have a fancy showroom with air conditioning. There’s a small desk where we keep the ledger and the receipts, but that’s about it. The floor is mostly dirt and gravel. We deal with the rain when it comes, even if it makes the yard a bit of a mess. It’s a straightforward way to make a living. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. We just sell pipes and make sure people get what they paid for. Sometimes we have a bit of a laugh when things get hectic, but mostly we are just focused on moving the stock. It’s hard work on the back, but we like the routine of it and being part of the Permanallur community.
