We are located at Number 9 on Govindarajulu Street, which is just off Avinashi Road. The best way to find us is to go behind the Saravana Bhavan restaurant. You can usually smell the sambar and coffee from our doorway, which is a nice perk of the location. At Skm Electronics & Electricals, we have a lot of shelves filled with wires, bulbs, and various bits of hardware. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we get a lot of customers at once. The street is narrow, so parking can be a bit of a headache, but people manage. We spend our days testing circuits and helping folks find the right parts for their home repairs. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do. We’ve got an old wooden counter that’s been there since we started. There’s always a pile of broken things in the corner waiting to be looked at. We don't use any fancy computer systems for our inventory; we just know what we have in stock. My cousin helps out on the weekends when things get really busy. We don’t have a big corporate story. We’re just a local shop trying to help out the people in the neighborhood with their electrical needs. It’s a simple life on a busy street, and we wouldn't have it any other way. We stay open until the dinner rush starts.
