You can find Sashti Stone over at 406, Court Street. We are situated in Kannipiran Colony, which is part of Valipalayam. Dealing with stone is heavy business and it’s not for everyone. Most of our day is spent out in the yard or near the entrance where we keep the big slabs. It’s hard work, and your hands get rough and tired after a while. We have been at this location for some time now. The street gets fairly busy since it’s near the court area and there is always something going on nearby. There’s always someone coming or going. We don’t have a lot of time for sitting around in the office. When a customer comes in looking for stone, we just show them what’s in the current stock. It varies from week to week depending on what we can get delivered. The guys working here are used to the lifting and the dust that comes with it. It’s not a clean job, but it’s what we do for a living. We keep the office simple because most of the actual action is outside anyway. Valipalayam is a good spot for us. People know where Court Street is, so they don’t have much trouble finding us in Kannipiran Colony. We don’t use any big words to describe the business. It’s just about the stone and getting it to the people who need it for their houses. Some days are slow, and other days the trucks don't stop coming.
