Aristo Overseas

We are located at No.2, Court Street. It is an older building, and you can tell by the way the stairs creak when you walk up. The street itself is usually packed with people going to the courts or lawyers' offices, so there is always something happening outside the window. We’ve been operating from this spot for a good while. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, a few old filing cabinets, and some samples of the things we trade. We deal with overseas stuff, which means a lot of late-night calls because of the time differences. Sometimes I’m here when the rest of the street is dark just to talk to someone in a different country. It’s not a glamorous job, mostly just emails and checking shipping schedules to make sure nothing is stuck at a port somewhere. The ceiling fans in the office make a bit of a clicking noise, but we don't really notice it anymore. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. It’s just a handful of us who know the business inside and out. We don’t use fancy scripts when we talk to clients; we just tell them what the situation is with their cargo. If there’s a delay, we say so. It’s much easier that way than trying to hide things. People seem to appreciate that we are just regular folks trying to get the job done.
