Sree Vigneshwara Marbles & Granites

Our place is right on Avinashi Road, specifically at Sf No. 408/3. If you know where Poppys Hotel is located, we are just across the way from there in Thirumurugan Poondi. It is a very busy stretch of road, so there is always the sound of horns and engines in the background while we work. We deal with both marbles and granites, which means our yard is a big mix of different colors and textures. Some days we are moving heavy white marble, and other days it is dark granite slabs. It is a lot of physical work every day. We spend most of our time outdoors in the yard, checking the stock and helping people pick out what they need for their floors or kitchen counters. The dust from the stone gets everywhere, on our clothes and even inside the small office area. We do not have a polished showroom with air conditioning; it is more of a practical place where you see the raw materials exactly as they are. Sometimes the inventory changes fast, so we are always shuffling slabs around to make space for new arrivals. Thirumurugan Poondi is a good location for us because of all the construction activity nearby. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. It is about handling the stone right and making sure we do not chip the edges of the slabs.
