Our shop is at 8/79 S. V Colony 2Nd Street, right on the East Omsakthi Kovil Main Road. You can hear the temple bells from our front door sometimes. It is a good location because people can find us easily. Inside, we have long tables for cutting and boards for pinning up patterns. It is always a bit messy with chalk marks and measuring tapes lying around. We spend a lot of time looking at sketches and trying to get the fit right. It is just a few of us working here. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just focus on the clothes. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, or use the generator if we are in a hurry. The street outside is always full of bikes and people going to the temple. We know the shopkeepers next door and we look out for each other. We don't put on any acts. If the work is going to take three days, we tell you three days. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a shiny office. We just want to make sure the stitches are straight and the fabric looks good. It is a simple shop with a lot of hard work going on inside. We have been in this same spot for years now and wouldn't change it. It is just us.
