Avk Natural Agri Private Limited

Our place is at No 14/12/C2 in Sri Thirumalai Nagar, which is over in S.V. Puram near Udumalpet. We decided to start Avk Natural Agri because we wanted to focus on more traditional ways of farming. A lot of us were tired of using so many chemicals and wanted to get back to something simpler. It’s not a huge operation. We work out of a small spot in the neighborhood. Udumalpet is a good area for this kind of work because there’s a lot of farming history here. We aren't trying to be some big corporate entity. We’re just a small group of people who care about how food is grown. We spend a lot of time talking to local farmers about their soil and what they’re putting into it. Sometimes it’s hard to convince people to change their ways, but we just keep at it. Our office is a bit cluttered with samples and bags of seeds. It’s a working space, not a showroom. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy speeches. We just talk to folks one on one. If you come by S.V. Puram, you’ll find us there, probably arguing about the best way to compost or which seeds are best for the upcoming season. It’s a slow process but we like the results. We’re just local people doing what we think is right for the land and our community. It keeps us out of trouble.
