Vengamamba Cement Bricks

Vengamamba Cement Bricks is located out in Cherlopalli, right near the Pudipatla Post area. If you’re driving down, we are basically opposite the old rice mill. It’s a good landmark because everyone knows where that is. We make cement bricks right here on the site. It is heavy work and we get covered in grey dust by the end of every day. The yard is usually full of rows of bricks drying in the sun. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us making sure the machines are running and the mix is right. People from the village and nearby areas come by when they are starting a new construction project. We show them what we have in stock. The rice mill across the way is always busy too, so there is a lot of activity on this road. We usually start very early before the sun gets too high because it’s easier to work when it’s cool. Our office is just a small room with a table where we keep the ledger books. We don't bother with much else. It’s a simple business. We focus on the cement and the water and the drying time. If the bricks aren't dry, they don't go out. That’s the rule we follow here. We’ve been in Pudipatla for a good while and plan to stay as long as people are still building things. There's not much else to say, we just keep at it every single day.
