Trinayana Seed Processing

Out on Prakasam Road, at 3-896-412A, is where we set up our seed processing unit. It’s a functional space, mostly filled with the sound of machinery and the smell of raw grain. We spend our days cleaning, sorting, and bagging seeds. It’s a dusty job, and you definitely need to wear old clothes when you come in. The machines have their quirks, and sometimes we have to spend half the morning fixing a belt or clearing a jam. That’s just part of the routine. We’ve been at this for a bit now, and we’ve learned which seeds need more attention than others. The neighborhood knows us by the hum of the equipment. We don’t have a fancy showroom. Everything is about the utility of the space and getting the seeds ready for the next planting season. It’s very seasonal work; some months we are working late into the night, and other times it’s a bit slower. We prefer the busy times because it makes the day go by faster. The crew here is small, mostly locals who don’t mind getting their hands dirty. We focus on the task at hand and try to keep things organized, even when the bags start piling up. Prakasam Road is a busy place, so there's always something happening outside our doors while we work. We just keep the machines running and the floors swept as best we can for the next batch.
