Unique Automation

If you head down to the Palayamkottai Market, you’ll find Unique Automation at 26/8/6 on Sockalingam Street. It’s a lively area, to say the least. There is always the sound of people bartering and carts moving around outside. Our shop is right in the thick of it. We deal with all kinds of automation parts and gadgets, so the place is usually packed with sensors, wires, and control panels. It’s not the cleanest looking place, as there’s always a bit of grease or metal shavings somewhere. We’ve been working out of this market spot for years. The building is old and the stairs are a bit steep, but it’s got character. We don't have a receptionist; usually, you just walk in and find one of us testing a motor or looking at a circuit board. We don't use a lot of fancy talk. We just tell you what’s broken and how we can fix it. The lighting isn't the best, so we use a lot of desk lamps to see the tiny components. On market days, it can be a real struggle to even get to the door because of all the stalls, but we like the energy of the place. It feels like we are part of the local trade. We don't have a mission statement on the wall, just a bunch of tools and some old parts. It’s a practical shop for people who need things to work.
