Sri Lakshmi Modern Rice Mill

We are located at No 878 on Mgr Road in Rattinamangalam. Sri Lakshmi Modern Rice Mill is just a plain building with a big front gate. We spend most of our time out there moving grain around. The road can get pretty dusty when the wind picks up. Rattinamangalam is a decent area for this kind of work. We have the machines set up in the back part of the mill. It’s loud and the floor shakes a little when they are going. We don’t really have an office, just a small stool and a ledge for the ledger books. We track every bag by hand. It takes a lot of time but we like doing it that way. The MGR road is usually full of traffic, so we have to be careful when the trucks are pulling out. We start early, usually before the sun gets too high. It’s cooler that way. By midday, it’s like an oven inside. We just drink plenty of water and keep the bags moving. There isn't much to say about us. We are just here doing the same thing every day. The work is steady and that’s all we really need. We don't do any big advertising. People just find us at the address.
