Ruchi Friends

We set up Ruchi Friends here in the government complex in Palayamkottai. It’s right on Tiruchendur Road. Most people know the Magalir police station near the market, we are just a short walk from there. It’s a busy spot but we like it. We started this place because we wanted a spot where people could just grab a bite without a fuss. It’s not fancy or anything. Just us doing our thing every day. Some days are more crowded than others, especially with the market nearby. We’ve been here at shop number 5 and 6 for a while now. Most of our regulars are folks working in the area or people passing through on their way to Tiruchendur. It’s a simple setup. We keep the tables clean and try to get the food out quick. Sometimes the noise from the road is a bit much but that’s just life in Samanathapuram. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us working together. If you’re around the government complex, you’ll see our sign. We didn't spend much on decorating, we just focused on making sure the kitchen runs okay. It’s nice seeing the same faces every morning. We don’t do anything too complicated here. It’s just a local place where you can get what you need and get on with your day. We’ve had some long days here but it’s worth it when the shop is full of people chatting.
