Shree Bala Offset Printers

Shree Bala Offset Printers is tucked away on Parimeialagar Street in Kokkirakulam. It is a quiet enough street most days, though things pick up in the mornings. We have been at number 18 for a good number of years. Inside, you will find a couple of old offset machines that make a lot of noise when they are running full speed. Our hands usually have a bit of blue or black ink on them by noon. We do all sorts of paper work, from bill books to simple flyers for local shops. It is not a huge operation, just a few of us making sure the margins are straight and the colors don't bleed too much. We buy our paper from a guy a few blocks away and try to keep things moving. Sometimes a customer comes in in a real hurry because they forgot they ran out of letterheads, and we try to squeeze them in. The light in the shop isn't the best, so we do a lot of our proofreading near the front door where the sun comes in. We use a small fan to help the ink dry faster on the humid days. We like living and working here in Kokkirakulam. It feels like everyone knows each other. We don't do anything too complicated, just honest printing work day in and day out. If you walk past the old house with the big tree, you will hear our machines clicking away.
