You can find us at 126 Periakadai Street. It’s a busy road and there is always something going on right outside our door. Most days, the street is filled with people moving goods and shoppers looking for deals. Our shop isn't very large, but we make the most of the space we have. We’ve been at this address for a good while and the walls could probably tell a few stories if they could talk. It’s a bit dusty sometimes because of all the traffic, but that’s just life on a main trading street. We don’t have a big marketing team or anyone to write fancy brochures for us. We just open up in the morning, sweep the front, and get to work. Sometimes it gets a bit overwhelming when too many things happen at once, but we manage to get through the day. The shelves are usually packed tight and we have to move things around just to find a place to sit. It’s a very hands-on kind of business. We know the other shopkeepers on the block and we all kind of look out for each other. If you’re looking for a polished, corporate environment, this isn’t it. We are just local people running a local business. We focus on the tasks at hand and try to stay organized even when it gets chaotic. It’s a simple life here on Periakadai Street and we like it that way. We just keep moving forward.
