L R K Garements

L R K Garements is situated at 21, North Cross Street in Tuticorin. It is a typical small-town garment setup where things are always moving. We have a lot of racks filled with clothes and tables where we do the packing. The street outside is usually busy with people and scooters, and the salt air from the coast sometimes makes things feel a bit sticky. We have been at this address for a while now, and the shop has become a bit of a second home for us. It isn't a modern office by any means. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint and the ceiling fans make a bit of a clicking sound, but it works for us. We spend our days checking quality and making sure the sizes are right. Sometimes we get a big order that keeps us here late into the night, drinking cold tea to stay awake. The tea guy comes by twice a day which is a nice break for everyone. We don't have a website or a marketing person. Most of our work comes from people who know us or walk by the shop. It’s just us doing what we know how to do. We don't try to sound bigger than we are. If you come by, you'll see us sorting through fabric or talking to the transporters. It's a simple, honest business and we just keep at it day after day, making sure the bundles are tied tight and ready.
