G L Fashion

You can find G L Fashion down at 11 D, Thomas Street in Palayamkottai. It’s a small shop, but we pack a lot into it. We’ve got racks of clothes and some mirrors that have seen better days. The street outside gets quite crowded during the festivals, which is good for us I suppose. We don't really do the big fashion show stuff, just clothes that people around here actually want to wear. I spend a lot of my time folding things and putting them back where they belong after customers have a look. Sometimes the fans don't work as well as they should in the heat, but we manage. Palayamkottai is a nice place to have a business because people are friendly. We know who likes what colors and who’s looking for a deal. Thomas Street is where most people go for their shopping anyway. We try to keep things organized, but on Saturdays, it usually ends up a bit messy. It’s just the way it goes. We don't use any fancy computer systems for the billing, just a simple book and a calculator. It’s more personal that way, talking to people while we wrap up their packages. We've been at this spot for a few years now. It’s not a huge empire, just G L Fashion, a local shop trying to help people look decent without spending too much money. We’re just happy to be here.
